CRANKSHAFT GRINDING WHEELS

Back to Kinik Products

Crankshaft grinding is found throughout the automotive, truck, diesel, aircraft, small engine manufacturing industry and also in many engine rebuilding firms for regrinding of the pins and bearings. Wheel speeds of up to 2700m/min are most common, however, some production machines will run at higher speeds. Most crankshaft wheels are Type 1 Some of the thicker wheels may be relieved or recessed to wheel Types 5, 7 or 21.

Mark all orders "Crankshaft Wheels".

For multi-wheel machines used to grind all the main bearings at one time, specify diameter and thickness tolerances for the set of wheels. This will assure wheels being trued, marked and packed in sets as required for use.

KINIK 3-layer crankshaft grinding wheels can hold tight corner radii and achieve good surface finish of pins, bearing seats. and their side walls of a crankshaft, while plunge grinding

Note:

Any thickness may be specified within standard availability limits however, thickness should be specified in decimals. Add 0.8mm to the mean width of the pin or bearing for truing allowance to ensure true running sides.
