surfaces, piston rods and rollers. Ground surfaces are generally
evaluated using the following criteria: Peak-to-Valley depth,
percentage of contract area waviness (irregularities) in a
longitudinal direction (feed spirals) and circumferential direction
(chatter marks), and the concentricity.
